// Losing my Mac virginity //

♥ ♥ ♥

So today, me and my mum travelled to the Trafford Centre in Manchester to do some shopping. We also had to pick my older sister, Megan, up from the airport as she's just come back from Gran Canaria, so we decided to hit two birds with one stone. So as we were shopping, I eventually got to visit the Mac counter in Selfridges, which I have wanted to do for SO LONG, but couldn't as we haven't had time previously. #

My experience at the counter was lovely, I wasn't too sure what I was looking for as my first product but was drawn to the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer.
I have wanted a new concealer for ages that would not only brighten underneath my eyes, but would also stay on all day as I struggle to find one that does that for me. I am wanting some lipsticks from Mac also, but they are going to be my next purchase.

I asked the lovely gentlemen at the counter what shade I should get and he suggested NW20, which is what I bought, and he tested it on me at the counter then and there. He was really nice and really explained to me the best brush and techniques to use to use the concealer to it's maximum potential. I was so excited to be at the Mac counter for the first time and cannot wait to go again. The concealer was £17, which obviously is quite pricey for a concealer, but not as expensive as some more high end ones.

I am really looking forward to trying this concealer and seeing how I get on with it. The Trafford Centre was a lovely experience, I bought some lovely things and had a great day with my mum.
Thank you for reading and let me know if you would like me to share what else I bought!

// Blogging and the way it works //

♥ ♥ ♥

I find blogging hard. Thinking of things to write about that people will actually want to read has always been the hardest thing for me, and the pressure to be 'the best blogger' feels overwhelming. Now I don't class myself as a very interesting person, I wouldn't say my life is anymore exciting than anyone else's. In fact, it's probably much more boring.

Now I have read many blogs for years now, and the things they write, even if it's just a review of the newest foundation, inspires me to write my own, and have the experience for myself. However, as there are so many amazing people on the internet out there, I basically feel as though I cannot compete.

The things I have noticed are:

  • Unless you have lots of money, or have thousands of followers and get things sent to you, you cannot have all the latest products that people actually want to hear about, you have the things that you are saving up to get for the past month, eventually leading in a product review that was hyped about a month ago.
  • You have to have an 'atmosphere' about your blog. Whether you have an amazing vocabulary and sound as if you went to the best grammar school in the country, or you use your amazing wit to charm people in to loving your blog.
  • Bloggers say that 'it doesn't matter what camera you have'. Well, honestly, I think it does. I understand that everybody has to start somewhere, but importing images that were taken on your iPhone 4, does feel as though they are slightly not reaching the mark.
  • The feeling of not getting noticed. I have had my blog for nearly a year a now, and feel as though there are so many bloggers out there, there is no reason why they should listen to what a 17 year old from the North-West should have to say. I mean, I don't think even I would want to listen to what I have to say.
I know that this blog post probably feels quite depressing, and I do not want my blog to have that sort of vibe to it. I love writing about products and the way that I am feeling, and I hope that you enjoy reading about the ups and the downs in my life. I just wanted to explain how it feels to start out a blog when there are so many amazing bloggers out there already. I don't know if it is just me who feels like this, and I would love to know your views and opinions about what I have just written.

I love you all, and thankyou for reading.

// Sleek Matte Silk Lip Cream | Review //

Hello Everyone!

Today I wanted to talk about my absolute favourite lip product at the moment; Sleek Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Creams.
I have mine in the shade "Birthday Suit 436" and is the perfect nude colour.

The consistency is very creamy, and dries to matte in about ten seconds. I absolutely love the creaminess of this, as it makes it different from many other matte lip creams out there, which can often be very dry and hard to apply.
I believe that they come in six different shades, all absolutely beautiful, including a red shade which I am definitely going to be picking up the next time I am in Superdrug. They are sold in many different places, however i bought mine in Superdrug for just £4.99, which is incredible value.

The colour of mine is a pink-toned nude, and is the perfect nude for any skin tone. The only way I could perfectly describe the colour is Kylie Jenner, it is that colour. Hopefully you will understand what I mean by that!!

I can see these lip creams becoming a staple of mine during the whole of 2015, and hopefully they will release more colours soon. The packaging is very simple, yet effective, and I would recommend this product to anybody. It also makes your teeth look much whiter, which is always a bonus!

Thankyou all for reading, and i will see you all again very soon!
