Things you need to know if you're a waitress at Christmas time | Life

As you probably know (unless you literally live under a rock), a few days ago it was the best day of the year. Christmas Day. Now many of people have a family meal together on Christmas day all together at home, cooked by family members.
However many people also go out for Christmas dinner, and these are the people that make being a waitress/waiter around the festive period one of the worst things to be.

No. 1 -  Despite you not realising it, a surprising amount of people actually go out for dinner on Christmas Day, making where you work one of the busiest days of the year and with that, the most stressful.

No. 2 - Children are absolutely everywhere. Literally everywhere. Under the tables, running around, meaning that walking around is a task within itself. (Also, Christmas Day is the one day a year it seems that parents allow the child anything they want, including 51 J20's that they won't even touch.)

No. 3 - Christmas crackers will be your absolute death. Paper hats, tiny moustaches and mediocre jokes will mean that cleaning up after people have gone will take, on average, ten times longer than it would normally.

No. 4 - The next point is actually waiting around for people to arrive. I know, they will be opening presents and feel festive at home, however you're actually here to give them their meal and then go home to see your family. Therefore, them being late is still extremely rude.

No. 5 - The chefs are e x t r e m e l y moody. (Even more than usual). Im not sure whether they think its our fault that the woman on table 6 didn't want her gravy touching her potatoes, but its not.

No. 6 - People forgetting what they pre-ordered. Now where I work, Christmas food doesn't start on the 25th December it starts on the 1st meaning that we pretty much have a whole month of people forgetting what they ordered. If it was me, I would be the first person with their hand up for what I ordered because usually I'm so excited for food, however every old lady seems to forget what they've ordered, meaning that you end up with about 6 unclaimed meals due to ladies wanting what the person sat next to them has got.

No. 7 - Despite the room being full of other families eating their dinner, there's always that one table that seems to think you are not rushed off your feet and will get them anything they want as soon as they ordered it. These are also the people that won't tip and ask for more gravy again and again and again. These are the people you don't look forward to at Christmas time.

No. 8 - The whole of Christmas Day d r a g s. No matter how busy you feel, it never goes as quick as you'd like. And reheated turkey dinner is never as good reheated after work.

No. 9 - Having to wear Santa Hats seems a great idea when you first arrive, however you soon realised it was a bad mistake when you're head feels as though its boiling and your hair is a greasy mess.

No. 10 - Despite the previous nine being negative, and all of the customers, the people who you work with are usually in a great mood. And, I never let working on Christmas Day ruin it for me.

I hope you have had an amazing Christmas and got everything you asked for. I would like to thank all of my friends and family for some amazing gifts, and am extremely excited for 2016.

Thank you so much for reading!
Until next time,

Maybelline New York Master Ink Matte Eyeliner | Review

Today I wanted to review a new product that has come into my make-up collection, but one that has quickly become a staple, one that I am completely in love with.

I recently bought this liquid eyeliner when in Boots and realised I hadn't heard much about it before. As it wasn't very expensive, (£4.99, however on a 3 for 2), I decided to try it and am actually very pleased with the results. The applicator is a brush however not very long meaning that you get a lot of precision without having to worry about the bristles moving as you place it on your eyelid. Also this means that you can achieve either a very thin line close to your lash line, or a thick one depending on how you like it.
I believe that it comes in three shades; Matte, Satin or Glitter. As I like my eyeliner to be matte I picked that on up, although I love the idea that you can choose exactly how you want it. As for the staying power it does stay on for quite a few hours however if touched at all it will smudge, although doesn't wear off after too long and is very wearable. After applying eyeshadow also, it doesn't dry out at all which I can often find with liquid liners.

Overall I would definitely recommend this eyeliner and would love to hear your feedback if you have tried it also :-) Thank you very much for reading!

Until next time,

A

The Worst Drugstore Foundation? | Review

Hello Everyone!

Today is going to have quite a negative blog post, however I thought I would write about a new foundation that I have tried, the "Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot".

As I browsed Boots last week, I decided to try a new foundation as I hadn't tried a new one in a while. I browsed for a while however decided to go for a Soap and Glory one as I had never tried any base products from their before. I bought this for £12 so expected high standards although was sadly disappointed! :(

It claims to create flawless, shine-free skin that conceals everything from fine-lines to redness, however I do not think it delivers on any of those! When applying it is extremely difficult to blend, even with a sponge or brush. Even when blended to the best of my ability it does not stay in place even when powder is applied on top. Now, I know that  I don't have the oiliest skin around, however this seems as though you need an extreme condition of skin to wear this foundation comfortably.

Overall, I just wouldn't recommend this foundation to anyone! If you have tried this foundation and have any thoughts on it, then please comment them below and I will see you all again very soon!

Until next time,

The Best Eyebrow Duo | Review

Hello Everyone :)

Today I wanted to talk about my favourite eyebrow products at the moment, with me literally using them every single day. Plus they are both drugstore! :)

The first stage in my eyebrow routine is to use a matte brown eyeshadow. This one here is from MUA which you can find in Superdrug and is £1 (an absolute bargain!). This eyeshadow is amazing, and I feel very underrated as I've never heard anyone talk about these before. It is super pigmented and gives a really nice natural finish, without being too warm-toned which I often find in matte brown shades. This eyeshadow is also amazing on the actual eyelids too, however I just use it for my brows as I think it is amazing, especially for the price.

The brush I use for my eyebrows is actually from Topshop, again, a brand that I never really hear about when it comes to make-up brushes. This brush was £4 which is very affordable and is super easy to use. I find that it doesn't pick up too much product onto your brush which is very common, and applies just the right amount. It is also super easy to clean and makes doing your eyebrows SO much easier!

The final product in my "duo" is the Loreal Brow Artist Plumber in the shade Medium/Dark. I bought this from Boots for £5.99 and am so glad that I did! I bought this to see what all of the hype was about as I had heard that these kind of products were very good however I couldn't really se how they would work without making your eyebrows looking clumpy and going on your skin underneath. However I was very pleasatly surprised! It has a tiny, tiny brush which doesn't hold too much
product, meaning that it only goes on the hairs effectively making them thicker and making them slightly darker. I usually use two coats as I feel that this gives the best results either ron it's own or with the MUA eyeshadow underneath. I just feel that it gives your eyebrows something extra and can make them seem so much more natural. My eyebrows are quite sparse towards the edges and I often feel that just eyeshadow can seem very "drawn on". This definitely makes them seem as though you have the Card Delevigne brows on point without any effort!!

I hope you enjoyed these little reviews, and please leave any other brow products you love in a comment below!

Until next time,

Is there such a thing as wasting time? | Thoughts of the Day

I feel as though this could be a very ramble blog post, and nothing like my normal writings, so I apologise in advance. I like to write down everything that is in my head, I find it very theraputic and I'm sure if you have a blog yourself you will completely agree. Most of the time I love talking about beauty because it is something that I am ridiculously passionate about and I could ramble on about all day. Although sometimes there's life stuff that simply overflows through my fingertips and makes its way here, and to be honest, I feel as though sharing these things is healthy. (Probably not but oh well.)

Recently I've been working a lot, and only having the odd day off in week means that spending your time wisely becomes much more of a bigger issue than when you had every single Saturday and Sunday off at school. At school it wasn't a big deal if you stayed in bed till 1pm (which I did both days) because to me it felt like school would never end and that I could do this every weekend and never feel guilty about it, and frankly I just loved sleep. But now I've got older, and every single day is my decision on how I spend it, I feel that there is a pressure to do something productive.

Most of the time on my days off all I actually want to do is stay in and just chill. Being at work all the time means that it is go, go, go 24/7 and its blooming tiring. And I know people have it a lot worse than me, but still, there's only so much one tiny 18 year old can take.
To me I don't see anything wrong with lounging in bed, watching films and eating your whole body weight in food. I also don't see anything wrong with getting fresh air and just walking around near where you live. I love having the choice of what I want to do with my days, but along with that comes the social pressure of people asking "So what have you been up to?" and you literally realising you have nothing interesting whatsoever to tell them.

In my family I have always been the laziest I am not even going to lie. My sister, a massive netball fanatic, in all the sports teams at school, head girl, a "go-getter", as I call her, is basically the opposite of me. I'm the person who was known as school as "her sister" and the one that the teachers always had high expectations for but were never quite happy with what I achieved. My mum, the daily runner, insomniac nurse with four children a dog a cat a husband and three fish. She's the mum that makes day updates on Facebook about what she's doing with comments after comments saying "I don't know how you manage to fit it all in!"
I'm the one who just loves photography, is obsessed with make-up and YouTube, and really just has no idea what she wants to do with her life a t  a l l.

So working sometimes 9 days without a day off means that spending my time how I like to enjoy it becomes a massive deal for me. People may nag at me (*cough, cough* m o t h e r), but I am staying strong and insisting to spend my life as I please. Even though I will admit that it is not as productive as it should be. People do housework, do other jobs, and spend time with their friends and I just like cosying up with Tom watching stupid documentaries about land-slides. (Legit did that yesterday).

I'm not sure what message I'm trying to get across hear, I just want people to know that they can send their time however they want to. Without people telling them how to live their lives, and trying to change them into something that they're not. I have always felt like the shadow in the family that doesn't quite work the same as the others, but now I've realised that I simply do not care.

So I will leave you with a quote that I try and live by more and more each day. I hope this blog post was not absolute rubbish to read and you can relate even slightly. Please leave your thoughts below and I will see you again very soon!

Until Next Time,

Top 5 Tips On How To Get Clear Skin | Advice

Hello everybody :)

Today I wanted to talk about something that a lot of people struggle with, and something that can affect someone's confidence hugely. For me, honestly I haven't really struggled with this too much, however I do have a few tips that if I don't do these, my skin does get worse. I'm sure you will have heard some of these before but they honestly do work :)

No. 1 - W A T E R

I know this is probably known anyway, but it honestly works. Not only does water improve your skin, it also improves pretty much everything else too other that be your hair, body, and even how well you feel within yourself.
I do know how difficult it is to drink water most of the time because, to be honest, it can be very boring. However I usually try and space it out throughout the day so that it doesn't seem too much in one go. I would recommend getting a large bottle of water (one of those huuuuge ones) and carrying that round with you throughout the day as once you have finished the whole bottle you know that you have drank enough and it makes it easier to know how much you have actually had.

No. 2 - N I G H T - T I M E  R O U T I N E

This one is the one I struggle with the most as usually when the time comes to get into bed, all I want to do is collapse and fall asleep straight away. Don't do that! Make sure that you have washed your face and got all of the make-up/dirt off your face that has built up throughout the day. Even if you don't wear make-up, the amount of dirt and grossness that will be on your face without you even realising is crazy so make sure you wash it off :) I would recommend the simple face wash as it is completely inexpensive and does an amazing job even for sensitive skin! (Review here: http://arjx.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/simple-kind-to-skin-smoothing-facial.html)

No. 3 - D I E T

I know the you'll be probably dreading this one as this is one of the most difficult. I am definitely not an advocate for eating healthily as I can hardly go a day without eating some form of junk however I am definitely trying to improve this recently! And I'm not telling you to eat purely fruit and veg and never have a cheeky pizza, although trying to make a slightly healthier choice with things (such as 1 sugar in your tea instead of 3, oops).
I think that you can get an idea of what I'm talking about yourselves, its all about the dedication and you CAN do it!

No. 4 - M O I S T U R I S E

I feel like there is a lot of stigma around moisturising, as if it something that gives you more spots instead of taking them away. One of the main myths around moisturising is that people who have oily skin shouldn't moisturise as it gives them more oil and will therefore give them more spots which is definitely not true at all. Yes, using a heavy oily moisturiser will probably not be the best for you, but choosing one that is light and just evens out your skin nicely will help a huge amount. Spots often need some looking after once they appear so make sure you help them out and then they can leave! :)

No. 5 - G R E E N  T E A

I know it's not the nicest tasting drink in the world, although it does make a massive difference, even if it is only one cup a day. Also I have heard now that they have different flavours of green tea, including mango and lychee which can I just say, actually tastes very very nice.
The amount of goodness there is in green tea is huge, and it is really easy to do swell, making a huge difference if you just try it. It is sold in most supermarkets, and is not expensive to buy at all. Even just switching your morning coffee with this can change your skin dramatically in the space of a few weeks. Try it and I'm sure you will understand what I mean.

So they were all of my five top tips, I hope you all enjoyed them! Please leave any other tips you have for other people as I'm sure they will appreciate them and have a lovely day!

Until next time,

A

The 5 Best Things about Autumn | arjx

Hello :)
Today, as I am sat in front of my cosy fire after a very long day at work, thinking about what to write blog post on, I realised I am just going to ramble about why I love this time of time so much. So I've narrowed it down to five (there are way to many things to include in just one post), and no Christmas is not one of them. Despite me being obsessed with Christmas slightly too much, Autumn is Autumn and I try not to overshadow it with tinsel and bringing trees inside just yet.

No. 1 // Halloween

As a massive lover of holidays, and all of the different things they celebrate and bring with them, Halloween has always been one of my favourites. Firstly I love the lights, the mysteriousness of it with the glowing faces of pumpkins in windows, and the children's laughter in the streets as they run from house to house. It's not necessarily the dressing up that excites me, just sitting at home feeling cosy with people knocking at my door asking for treats, seeing people become so involved with the time and the effort that people go to. That is what I love about Halloween.

No. 2 // Make-Up

To start with, can I just say how absolutely gorgeous Cara Delevingne looks here. This is by far my favourite picture of her here, she is definitely my woman crush for basically the rest of my life. (Cannot even deal). But aside from that, this look here is another reason why I love this time of year. In the summer time, that's when you can use all of the brightly coloured lipsticks that you may own, including that insanely bright pink you thought you'd be able to make work. However in the winter, I love the berry shades and the way that make-up tends to dark and people become slightly more adventurous. I especially love the lips here, but even the dramatic lashes here look super vampy but also wearable and I would definitely love to try and achieve this. I know, you could wear this in the summer time too but, I'm sure you'll agree, this look is so beautiful. And I think that around the time when you pull your hats and scarves out from the backs of your wardrobes, this is the kind of make-up that I will definitely be wearing.

No. 3 // Cosy Nights In

As I am one of those people that is a l w a y s cold, you would probably expect me to hate the autumn/winter although that is not the case. In summer, I feel there is an expectation where you can't wear a coat (well, I am in England so maybe not), without being glared at because it is higher than 10 degrees. I would much rather prefer snuggling up in front of a fire, watching some classic TV, with a perfect cup of tea in my hand. I feel that with the weather being colder everybody becomes closer together staying in, and spending more quality time. I know that I read more in the winter, I love being cosied up in my pyjamas, knowing that it is raining outside but I am super cosy inside. I know I am not the only one that experiences this, and will be super happy knowing that I don't have to worry about getting a tan or a "bikini body". (Nobody shaves their legs in winter, right?)

No. 4 // Fashion

I couldn't make this list without including one of the massively obvious choices, the fashion. The colours that are worn during autumn are my absolute favourites. With my favourite colour being orange I find that making it work other times of the year can be very tricky however in Autumn it just makes it 100% easier. Throwing a thick chunky scarf over a very simple outfit can simply make it look fashionable and though you've actually made effort with your outfit. Also the hat situation is a massive bonus for me. Doing my hair is one of my least favourite things and chucking a hat over your 'I probably should have washed it' hair makes it look bearable. And of course, because I am always feeling cold, its all about the layering and at this time of year it is all the rage.

No. 5 // Colour

I know this has been mentioned in all of my other four things, but I couldn't miss this out. I just blooming love the colours in Autumn. When the trees lose their leaves, when you can hear them crunch on a crisp morning, even when you can't see the grass in your garden because there is so many leaves. To me, its like the tree is using all of its energy before it goes to sleep, like one big rush of energy forced out before it stores it all up for next spring. Either way, I think it's beautiful.

I really hope you enjoyed reading about my top five things in Autumn and I would really love to hear yours so please comment them below.

Until next time,

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette | Review

Hello Everyone!

Today I wanted to talk to you about a recent make-up product that has come into my life, something that I am COMPLETELY IN LOVE WITH. The new Urban Decay Smoky Palette. Now, I am not usually one of those people that grabs a new make-up product that is brand new as, to be honest, usually they are ridiculously expensive (especially high end products) and I simply cannot afford them. Now I had seen this palette being raved about on the interweb and had been crushing on it for what felt like forever.

So you're probably wondering why I have this product in my possession then. Well basically it turns out that I have the best boyfriend ever. After a really crappy day, and whining to Tom about how rubbish I felt, he magically produced this and completely made my day. (Ridiculously lucky I know). So now, I have this amazing palette and today I am going to review it for you :)

First of all, I want to apologise for the really rubbish swatch photos for you, however all the times I tried to get a nice photo for you, the lighting meant that the actual eyeshadows did not show up to their true colour which is not what I want at all. So, I'm really sorry but this was the best I could do!

So, the actual palette consists of 12 shades, a complete mixture of matte, satin and shimmery shades. And of course, the double-ended smoky smudger/tapered crease brush. As always with Urban Decay all of the shadows are amazingly pigmented, and blend like an absolute dream. I think this palette is a complete mixture of tones, the perfect palette to get if you haven't tried any of the other naked palettes before. My personal favourites are "Dirtysweet", "Armor" and "High" (to be honest they are all to die for) as I think they are absolutely beautiful, with also the matte black shade "Black Market" being the best black eyeshadow I have ever used. The palette is of course expensive and retails for £38, however for the quality of these eyeshadows and what you get for your money I think it is completely worth it. The fallout of these shadows is also much better than the previous three, as the others have previously fallen out a lot however I barely get any with these. This palette basically gives you all the options for any kind of smoky eye, whether that be a day time natural or a night out glitter.

It describes it much better on the website about all the different shades :)

http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_123932046199_-1#intcmp=urban-decay-smoky-hero-shop-now

Overall I would definitely recommend trying this palette out if you haven't tried any of the other Naked Palettes before, or just the final piece to your collection. Please let me know if you've tried it as I would love to hear your opinion!

Until next time,

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks | Review

Hello!

Today I wanted to talk about the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks, and  my honest opinion on them. I only have two colours in the collection, two out of the eight shades, and so far I'm enjoying using them.

The first shade I bought was the lighter pink shade, 07 Nude-ist, as I wanted to try the lightest one that I could see as I was looking for a long wearing liquid lipstick that was going to last all day. From using it, I found that the staying power is absolutely amazing! I can put this on in the morning and not even have to look in the mirror throughout the day to see if it has smudged or worn off. They are sold for £8.99, which is quite expensive for the high street I thought, but I think they are totally worth it. When applying it goes on super smoothly, and despite lots of the matte lipsticks being very drying, this almost feels moisturising as you're wearing it. The only downside to this lipstick, is that the smell is very very strange. To me this lipstick smells like blood?!?
And I know, you're probably thinking "Why on earth would you wear it if it smells like that?", but honestly once it is on your lips, you can't smell it and the quality of the product makes it worth the horrible smell. So today I went into Superdrug and bought this gorgeous classic red shade, 08 Grand Cru, and I honestly think it is going to be my go-to red lipstick, especially if I am going out for a meal where you would usually expect lipstick to wear off.

The only thing I wish for with these lipsticks is that, despite wearing a lipstick with "nude" in the title, the lipstick is definitely pink... not what you expect when wearing a nude. Now I'm not sure if this is just Superdrug not ordering the nude shade into that store however I would l o v e a nude to wear as I feel that it is completely missing from the collection.

Overall, I definitely would recommend these products to anyone, despite the very strange smell!! I will definitely be going in to check out any other colours that they have because they are AMAZING.

Thankyou so much for a reading, and let me know anything else from Bourjois that I should try!

Until next time,

Oreo | My New Kitten

Hello,

So I thought I would eventually write the blog post that I have been meaning to do for a very long time and I would like to formally introduce the new kitten to the family, Oreo. we have almost had her for a month now and she is unbelievably cute (if I don't say so myself). I know this isn't the usual kind of post that I do although I couldn't not write a post about the little kitten that I am obsessed with.

I hope you enjoyed this random little post, lots of love!

The Best Drugstore Mascara? Maybelline Lash Sensational | Review

Hello Everyone!

Recently I have been branching out on mascaras, and gradually leaving my Benefit Roller Lash craze to try and see if there any any better alternatives out there. I've tried quite a few of the drugstore / high street mascaras out there and, yes, there are some pretty good ones however not until now.

Maybelline Lash Sensational | Lash Multiplying Mascara
http://www.boots.com/en/Maybelline-Lash-Sensational-Lash-Multiplying-Mascara-9-5ml_1655586/

I bought this mascara from Boots the other day, completely by chance as I had heard randomly that it was quite good and thought I would give it a try as it was reduced from £8.99 to £6.99 (quite reasonably priced I would say).  Here on the left are my eyelashes (obviously) and I am really impressed with the lift and length that it gies my lashes. Naturally I have quite blonde and thin eye lashes, quite to my disappointment, however I think that this makes a massive difference. I really do enjoy this mascara, and it actually holds that look all day without smudging underneath your eyes, no matter how long you need this to last for. I would definitely recommend this mascara, for the length, the volume, everything. Despite the applicator being plastic, very often I find a gem that stands out from the rest.

I really hope you found this review helpful, please leave me a comment below telling us if you did! Also if you have any other mascaras that you have tried, let me know what they are as I would love to try them..

Until next time,

// A Few Skincare Bits //

Hello everyone!

Sorry I haven't been blogging as much recently, I've felt very unmotivated to do much at all really which I'm not going to go into the reasons of, but hey I'm back now! Also, slight update, Tom (My Boyfriend) and I, have finally started our YouTube channel! We would love for you to check out our videos, it is a mixture between blogs and 'sit-down' videos, so please go over there and have a look!

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcCBAeYewOGsMFl76btvsjg

But anyway, onto the blog post!

Recently I've been realising that I have not been looking after my skin at all, especially my body leading to very dry skin and feeling very self conscious about getting much skin out at all. Suffering with very bad circulation on my legs, this means that often I can have quite red legs anyway, and I feel very scared of getting them out in any situation. However my actual skin, and how dry they are because I pretty much abandon them, I can change so I decided to go out and find products that would inspire me to look after my skin more :)

No. 1

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream:

Going into Boots, I noticed that soap and Glory had a 3 for 2 offer on.. which always grabs me!! But my absolute favourite scent of theres is by far the Sugar Crush scent. I got the scrub for one of my birthdays a few years ago, and have been meaning to by more of the range for so long but seem to forget every single time I've been in. The actual scent is extremely fresh and citrusy (hence the lime), however I find that often scents that have lime in almost smell like cleaning products, which this definitely doesn't! As it has Shea and Coconut Balm in, this means that it also has quite a sweet smell to it, without being too overpowering. Also, as it has these oils in, it means that it is going to really moisturise my skin, which is what I need!

No. 2

Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Lightly Whipped Body Cream:

The second product in my three for two was also a moisturiser, however this was a different scent, almost the exact opposite. To me, this smells like something you would like to use just before you go to bed, as it is very relaxing, whereas the previous Sugar Crush would be amazing in the morning. It includes 5 oils which will be super beneficial for the skin and make my legs so much better. It has Pistachio, Almond and Sweet Vanilla which makes it smell quite nutty and sweet, in a good way!! Either way, I am super excited to try both of these buttercreams, and after all of the raving reviews I have heard about them, I'm sure they will be amazing.

No. 3

Soap and Glory - The Scrub Of Your Life:

The final product in my 3 for 2, is this body scrub which is definitely needed to get rid of any dead skin that I may have. This also has a completely different smell to the other two products, what I would class as the 'classic soap and glory smell' and has quite large grains in it, which is good as I hate the scrubs where you don't feel exfoliated after. I opted for the scrub in the bottle form, rather than one of the matching ones like the Sugar Crush one, as this claims to do everything that I want rather than just for the smell which lets be honest, a lot of the Soap and Glory products draw you in with.

No. 4

Garnier Miceller Cleansing Water :

I only got one product for my face today, as I recently bought my other moisturisers and things, and felt that this would make my blog post too long! Even so, I have bought this miceller water before, and thought it was amazing and for such an amazing price too. Despite having quite sensitive skin, this does not aggravate it all, and removes all of my make up with ease, even waterproof mascara. It also comes in a MASSIVE bottle, so will last you for ages.

No. 5

Garnier Intensive 7 Days Nourishing Lotion:

Finally in my haul, I think I went slightly overboard on the moisturisers. I bought this as it claims to 'instantly absorb' which is exactly what I want. I know that some nights I'm not going to want to use something that takes a few minutes to sink in I will want to crawl into bed an just crash, and I feel as though the Soap and Glory ones won't do that. This also had lots of different skin types to choose from which helps a lot :) I will let you know how I get on with this!

So that is all of the products I am going to tell you about today, I hope you have enjoyed them!

Please let me know if you would like a review on any of these products, and leave a comment down below of any skincare products you think I should try!

Until next time,

// Living in the Moment //

Hello everybody!

I wanted to write about something that has really been playing on my mind recently, and have been thinking about for quite a while however the past few days have really pushed myself to write it here. Over the past few days, weeks and months, I feel as though I have spent a lot of time constantly focusing on the future, and thinking way to far ahead than I need to. I know, looking forward to something is completely normal, and gives you something to work towards, like a holiday can help you through work or the weekend can get you through school. But I feel like doing this too much, and never living for now and this moment, can almost make the rest of the days unrecognisable, and become unimportant.

After finishing my A Levels recently after two years, finally it seems as though I can do what ever I want with my days, and finally decide what I want to do for me without having to worry about the next assignment that is due, or the homework that I have missed. I think that I have spent the whole two years of my life thinking more about the work, and college, that I never even thought about what else was happening, the people that were drifting away, and I ended up leading a very sad life for that amount of time.

Waking up in the morning, and wishing I could just fast forward until I could get back into bed again is a very sad way to live and I hate the thought of people living their lives for this, wishing their lives away when you could be living. Living your life the way that you want to live it.

I don't exactly have plan for the point I want to make in this blog post, I mostly want to here about what you think and the way that you think people live. I understand, people will always look forward to things, and that is good in the right measure. But living your life wishing you could be at some point in the future?

For the past two years I have spent more time wishing I was at the age I am now, and at the point where I never have to worry about college anymore, that I feel that I haven't lived for the past two years, I have just wished them away.

Very recently, someone very close to me and my family became ill overnight and my boyfriend and I were the one who found them and had to call an ambulance. Before this, I had been worrying about going to work, if I had enough time to eat and get changed into my uniform, if I'd packed everything I needed for staying at my boyfriend's house. Living like this, and not appreciating the people around you whilst you have them is a way that I feel a lot of people live nowadays, no longer talking to people, just having a goal for the future and focusing on that rather than living for the moment that you are in this very second.

Thankfully, they are okay, and are recovering in hospital, however this shocked me, and made it so clear and obvious as to how I was living. I don't exactly know what I wanted to say here, and I don't know if this has actually explained what my thoughts are in my head, I feel as though I have just word vomited onto the screen. I guess what I mean is that, anything can happen at any moment, and that moment when you realise how much time you have wasted so far, is the moment you realise that you have lost some time that you should have cherished and you cannot go back. You're only the age you are now once, right?

What I'm trying to say is; live for now and the people you have around you as they honestly might not be there forever. Get out of bed in the morning with no expectations, as the day might not go as you expected. Look around you and think, what do I want to do now, and just do that.

Do more of what makes you happy.

Until next time,

A

// Mini Make-Up Haul //

Hello!

Today I wanted to share with you a few of the things that I have bought recently, all from the high street (drugstore). There aren't too many things to show you, and I have to admit that there is a theme of lips throughout this haul, however I am really happy with what I bought, so I thought I would share :)

No. 1

Loreal Paris Nude Magique Blur Cream:

Being sucked into the 3 for 2 deals, Loreal had a deal so I decided to firstly try this. I bought the shade "Light to Medium Skin", and have so far only tried it once, so couldn't possibly give my true opinion yet. I can however say, from first impression, that the texture is very strange. It has the feel of a primer, however feels like tiny little balls of primer, rather than a gel formula (often leading in lumps coming out at once?). This is sold separately for £9.99, however make sure you check for a 3 for 2, as they often have them in Boots or Superdrug :)

No. 2

Johnson's Face Care Extra-Sensitive Face Wipes:

I decided to pick some more of my favourite face wipes, as I was running low and it would be horrendous if I ran out. I absolutely love these face wipes (full review coming soon),  as I have very unpredictable, sensitive skin and don't cause me any irritation at all. They are completely 100% fragrance and alcohol free, which is possibly why they agree with my skin so much. I do cleanse my face most nights to clean my face completely, however these remove most of the excess, and by far the best on the market.

No. 3

Loreal Infallible 24H Foundation:

In the search for a new foundation, and of course part of the 3 for 2, I chose this loreal 24H foundation, hoping for the best. I opted for this rather than the matte as i feel the slightly dewy look suits my skin much better, and matte foundations can often make my skin look very dry. The only downside to this so far is the lack of colour choices, I chose the shade "Natural Rose" as I thought that would be the best, and looks good however quite yellow toned. This on its own is £9.99 which I think is pretty reasonable.

No. 4

Loreal Super Liner Perfect Slim Eyeliner:

For such a long time now, I have desperately needed a new liquid eyeliner and after hearing so many raving reviews about this, I decided to finally pick this up. The tip is extremely thin, meaning winged eyeliner will be easy, and from what I have seen so far it looks very pigmented and easy to use. By itself it is sold for £6.99 which I think is great for the quality you are getting for this. I also love how it has extra grip around the top, meaning that achieving even "on point" eyeliner is so much easier!

No. 5

Soap and Glory Kiss Ass Blur and Brighten Crayon:

Not planned at all.. there was another 3 for 2.
*Hangs head in shame*
This time for Soap and Glory, which I actually haven't tried many of their products before. I picked up this blur and brighten crayon, as I thought that it would be good for covering up my dark under-eye circles, as it looked quite peach toned which combats the blue/purple colour. I picked up the colour "Light" as I wanted it as brightening as possible, I just hope that it is pigmented enough. (Hopefully!)

No. 6

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in "Nudist":

The second thing in the Soap and Glory 3 for 2 is this gloss stick, which I heard about from the lovely Gabby (Velvetgh0st). So far it smells and tastes lovely, like birthday cake, and am extremely excited to use this, which I can see myself doing ALOT.

No. 7

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick in "Naked Beige":

Finally in this 3 for 2, I picked up this lipstick as I heard that it was the perfect Velvet Teddy dupe and truly it did look like it. I haven't tried this lipstick yet however it looks lovely and has a satin finish. The colour is quite pink toned, however still would be classed as nude I think. I do also have to say with this product, that the quality of the packaging and the look of this lipstick, is so lovely and not what you would expect from a high end company. I am definitely going to have to check out more colours of these as just from the swatch, this lipstick looks really lovely, and very professional. Only £9!

No. 8

Loreal Color Riche Lipstick in " VIP 228":

Getting tempted by lipsticks as I always do, I picked up this matte lipstick as I felt that I was completely missing a coral/red from my collection. The texture of this lipstick is lovely, glides on very smoothly and the colour is the perfect shade for summer. Also for only £6.99, very affordable for everybody.

So I hoped you liked seeing what I bought recently, I know it is not very much however I always find it interesting seeing what other people have bought so maybe there are other people like me too! Let me know if there are any reviews of these products you would like to see in more detail and I will definitely do them :)

Thank you very much for reading!

Until next time,

// Simple Kind To Skin Smoothing Facial Scrub | Review //

Hello!

Today I wanted to talk to you abut this Simple Facial Scrub that I recently picked up :) I have been wanting to try a new facial scrub for a while now as I have very sensitive skin, especially along my jawline, which can be affected by anything at all. Therefore looking for a facial scrub can be very challenging, as I can end up with a horrible blotchy red face that won't go away for about a week. (Not pleasant, I can tell you).

Now, it claims to do many things; remove dead skin cells, keep your skin brighter and even more textured. And I can honestly say it is a lovely product to use. I actually bought this in my local supermarket, obviously showing how accessible it is for everybody, and I actually bought it for £3.25, however retails in Superdrug for £1.95!

(www.superdrug.com/Simple/Simple-Kind-To-Skin-Soothing-Facial-Scrub-75ml/p/949289?gclid=CjwKEAjwwN-rBRD-oMzT6aO_wGwSJABwEIkJFOQmEVwK5Ckp11jd1qSc-2iPkcVqaBo15pkcnMYbXhoCHH_w_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds#.VXiI_87Ft8c) .

The quality of this product is absolutely lovely, as you would expect from the No. 1 Facial Beauty Brand, and doesn't have too much of a strong smell, which can often be quite strong and harmful on the skin. As for the texture of this scrub, it contains rice granules, meaning that it doesn't feels if it is scratching away at your skin, just as if it is buffing the dead skin on your face away. Finally it contains Pro-Vitamin B5, which apparently is almost like a moisturiser in vitamin form, which definitely sounds good to me.

Overall I would definitely recommend this facial scrub, with a 10/10. This scrub is brilliant, not just for the price, but for the quality also. If you have any facial scrubs that you would recommend, please comment them below, and I will definitely check them out.

Thank you so much for reading, and I'll be back soon.

Lots of Love,

A
